I am very happy with Dr. Bowman and his staff. A month ago I had severe pain in two of my teeth. I am not a regular patient of Dr. Bowman's, but when I called they told me to come in that day. He is very professional and extremely knowledgeable! I was extremely happy with the care I received and I will definitely recommend Dr. Bowman to everyone I know!

Staff was really nice, but they sent me to have a root canal done, then I returned to the office to get my crown put on. Afterwards, once the swelling went down some, I realized there was a space in between my gums and the crown, when I contacted them, I was reassured it was normal and the crown was fine. Less than 2 years later I go to another dentist and am going to have to get it recrowned due to a cavity the has come up around the crown from the gap that was left. Even though I floss frequently, food still would get stuck under the crown where floss couldn't get to it. Overall, friendly staff, but wouldn't recommend.

Very unhappy with this dentist and office staff. 1st my husband has a cleaning and found a cavity. While fixing the cavity he told Dr Bowman he was in pain and still could feel what he was doing. Dr Bowman's response was "you can't possibly feel this" my husband told him I assure you I can and need you to wait and let the pain meds work or given me more. Dr Bowman was very displeased with my husbands comment and let's say it wasn't a pleasant experience.

My personal experience doesn't get much better with his staff. I had scheduled a cleaning for 8am and missed it due to being up all night with my son's unexpected stomach virus. When I called to apologize and reschedule she was very short with me and told me that I needed to tell them prior to the appointment time. Ya that would be nice if someone could alert me when a stomach bug was going to hit my family too. I brushed it off as she was having a bad day and went to the next appointment just fine. 6 months later my next appointment was scheduled and I get a call about a death in our family. I missed my appointment and again call to apologize and was told they would not reschedule due to this being twice that I didn't give them a notice of me not being able to make my appointment. I was completely in shock with her response. Then I get a letter a few days later from them informing me that Dr Bowman will not accept me as a patient due to missed appointments. TWO missed appointments with reasons outside my control that I call as soon as I can to apologize. If that is how this office is ran good luck staying in business in a small town full of working people that have life happen outside their control. There are plenty of dentist in the area that I'm sure will be more than happy to take me as a patient and reap the benefits of my amazing dental insurance. Best of luck if you select this dentist, I could only imagine the service you will get if you should ever have a dental emergency.

ORIGINAL POST: I am posting this review for my husband who is disabled. The views expressed here are his. He recently had an appointment to have a crown done. The staff at Dr. Bowman's office assured him that he could have the crown made, fitted, and all work completed in one visit. Early on the morning of the scheduled appointment, my husband called in an attempt to reschedule the visit since he had experienced a particularly bad night with his disability. Since the earliest time he could be seen again was approximately one month away, he decided to go ahead and keep the scheduled appointment. Among other things, he suffers from severe arthritis which causes him great pain. He informed the office that he would keep his scheduled appointment and I called as he left the house to inform the office staff that he was on his way. When he arrived he was greeted and asked to take a seat. But after a few minutes he was called to the desk and told that they would not be doing the entire procedure that day as promised because he was 15 minutes late arriving as if 15 minutes made a difference in as complicated a procedure as fitting a crown. He reminded the front desk staff member that they had known he was ill but planned to make the appointment anyway; they knew he was on his way and would be a few minutes late, and they could have informed me, his wife, that because he was going to be late the appointment would have to be rescheduled. My husband was confident someone was standing on the sidelines down the hallway giving the staff member instructions on how to respond and he felt this very unprofessional behavior. End of story, my husband told the front office staff member that he was not angry with her at all, but he was certainly angry with Dr. Bowman and found his behavior to be discourteous and unprofessional and that my husband was certain there are other dentists in the area who would not be inclined to treat anyone in this manner, especially someone who is disabled. He left without rescheduling the procedure and informed the front office personnel he had no intention of returning.

I just wanted to take a moment to express how much I appreciate this office! They go out of their way to make my experience as enjoyable as possible. I have high dental anxiety so being at the office is already hard for me but Dr. Bowman and his staff help me relax and I feel at ease because I know that he is going to go that extra mile to ensure that all my work is done properly!! I can't thank them enough for helping restore my smile!!

UPDATED REVIEW: Again, I am posting this revised review on behalf of my husband. Since the 1Star review and narrative written below, my husband and Dr. Bowman have worked out the issues between them. On Thursday of last week, my husband had an appointment with Dr. Bowman. It was a fairly lengthy appointment during which Dr. Bowman attended to more than one dental service. My husband was very pleased with the work done on his teeth as well as with his interactions with Dr. Bowman and his staff. _________________________________________________________________
