The best hair stylist in Chattanooga!! Studio 27 has every thing from hair cut, color, extension,you name it they do it! Nail & pedis, message and alot more! Family friendly staff,makes you feel and look like a million bucks! I've been going to Angie for 20 years now and will not let anyone else touch my hair! I'd recommend this place to everyone!!

I went in with light blonde hair. I wanted my hair as white or light blonde as possible with a few very red chunky streaks in it. I am including pictures of the mess that my hair was that night, the scabs on my scalp 4 days after the fact from the burns, the colors that I wanted my hair, and the way I wanted the streaks. While she was splitting up the hair to put streaks in, she was making them too small and I let her know. She saw the pictures of what I was looking for and said that she was going to do those big streaks. The bleach she uses on my hair hurts & I said so on many times. I even said to another stylist and the customer that she was working on that my scalp felt like it was going to hop off my head and run away because it hurt so bad. Sammy's response to that was "Beauty is pain." At a certain point when she asked me about my scalp, I told her that I think it burned to the point of going numb. As she starts taking the foils out of my hair, I get a glimpse of it and what I am seeing looks very pink. I comment that it looks pink. She told me it would look different when... But after each step it was still pink. Sammy said it is just this light and she takes me to another room and shines this different light on my head. Still looked pink. I told her that it was pretty, but wasn't anything like what I wanted. She had seen the pictures and knew what I wanted. I told her "think santa hat, think candy canes" that I wanted that stark contrast of white and red. She doesn't do anything to try to remove the pink from my hair. She gives me a purple shampoo that she says will take the pink away. She goes about putting red in my chunks throughout my hair. In the end, the only blonde that I really have left is this chunk in front and the rest of my hair is this funky brownish red with tiny light blonde/pink streaks. It was bad. She assured me that it would be better after washing it a few times with that purple shampoo and that it would be what I wanted. Before leaving, I asked what I can do for scalp recovery because my it still hurt. She told me to put coconut oil on it. I coated my hair and scalp with coconut oil and let it sit for hours, then washed it using that shampoo. The color didn't get any better. If anything it got worse, and my scalp was still burning. I was in tears. I was in pain, plus at this point I can really see how damaged my hair is now that I don't have all the styling products in my hair anymore. My hair is just breaking off like crazy. The best way to describe how my hair felt would be if you took Barbie's hair and singed it with a lighter. That is exactly how it felt and looked. Day 2 my scalp still hurt so we googled what to do. I was concerned that I would have permanent hair loss due to this. My husband said at that moment it looked like I had a sunburn all over my head. Google said to put Aloe on it. For the next couple of days, I kept constant aloe on my scalp and coconut oil over the rest of my hair. By day 4 my hair was looking slightly better but still badly damaged and was still breaking. I contacted Sammy and let her know what was going on and told her that I would like a refund & go and cut off as much of the damaged hair as possible and maybe do some kind of treatment or something to help my hair. She asked to see pictures of the damage and of my scalp. I sent them. She said she would refund my money. When my "Come With Me : Makeover Gone Wrong" video posts on YouTube, she was not happy (Go to Youtube and search this to watch) but I left out lots of negative things in that video that would have made her and Studio 27 look bad and gave her credit for advice and refunding me. I found that she only refunded me $55 out of the $132. She said that she agreed to give me a refund but she didn't say that it would be a full refund. I was like, REALLY?!?! I have contacted her one more time asking her giving her to refund the rest of my money since I had to spend over $200 to fix what she did or that I would be giving a bad review. She said if I did she would call the cops. So here's my review.
