Nice family place to cool off from the summer heat. Lots of kids and some dogs. Not really deep enough where we were to swim, but good enough to splash around in and cool off. Very pretty surroundings here.
The dogs love the adventure and it's such a peaceful walk.
Definitely stop by Big Soddy Creek Gulf any time that you can! This park has a perfect light 2 mile trail that follows alongside a beautiful river. It's free to enter, and has plenty of points that you can enter and swim in the lagoons...great place to skip rocks too!
This is a graveled walking path that is 2.25 miles round trip. The path goes into a gorge cut out by Big Soddy Creek that is over 1,000 feet deep in places. The path ends at a picnic area with a great swimming hole.
Flat easy path with several benches along the way to stop and sit. Great place if you have young kids. There are a couple of deep calmer spots to sit and float in the water. Trash cans are available several places...please use them.
We go here every time I visit Chattanooga, which is often. The trail is a little over a mile long, if not longer with a stream running along the path. It opens up at the back end into a picnic area and little cove. Theres a waterfall (small) along the way.
